Re: black soil

First check the soil sample at nearest soil testing laboratory before going to cultivate any flower or vegetable crop.

Well drained soil rich in organic matter and oxygen is good for roses. Organic matter as high as 30 per cent in the top 30 cm of the growing beds is preferred by many growers. The pH of the soil should be around 6 to 6.5.

The ideal soil for chrysanthemum growing is a well-drained sandy loam of good texture and aeration. The soil should be neutral or slightly acidic with pH 6.5 to 7.0 having high organic content. Very light sandy soils are not recommended owing to their poor moisture holding properties.

Sandalwood can be grown in different types of soils like sandy, clay red soils, laterite loam and black cotton soils.sandalwood can grow under varying conditions of soil PH from 6.0 to 7.5. For good growth of sandal tree it requires good drainage, as it does not stand water logging.

Re: black soil

dear friend,
For rose ans chrysanthemum best soil is red soil with pH between 6 . 0 to 7.0 .
But it does not mean that it will not grow in black soil. First check the soil properties and you can decide the things.
